HELLOMOTOIDEN

I am an Ironworker by trade, working locally in Seattle, WA commercial construction. Bolting, cutting and welding have been my affair from the start! For the last ten years I have been working division five sub-contracts, and have held a variety of staff and trades positions.

Through this experience I have learned the fundamentals of construction, the necessity for site safety, the vitality of facilitative leadership, teamwork, and customer service are all keys to success for any project.

Through University, certifications and experience I have honed my construction skills with regard to these fundamentals. Here are some of the current highlights from my resume. I am a WABO certified Welder (AWS equivalent), and registered with the state of Washington DOL&I as a subcontractor. I was the Erection plan coordinator for JBLM, FY 08/09. This required detailing pick plans; crane operating radius, critical picks, quantifying load charts and coordinating site layout. I also operated as site foreman, Journeyman Iron worker, welder and mobile crane operator.

While working as a fabricator I had extensive cross training in Lean manufacturing and Just in Time production systems. Working closely with Toyota production systems consultants, our team trained and exercised eliminating production waste by quantify, and apply facts and data as a tool to maximize production output. Thru this hands on experience I learned to effectively combat QA/QC issues and value engineering.

Since graduating from UW I have worked with general contractors and sub’s managing projects and their contracts in a variety disciplines. Most currently with the Vertical World I operated as the Construction Superintendent. I was responsible for effective, value engineering and cost control savings for the project budget. I was the Competent Person for the project and co-author of a compliant effective (0 TLI) Accident Prevention Program, and the sub-contractor Site Specific Safety Plan manager. Other supervisory duties included sub- contractor coordination, and trade Superintendent for self preformed work.

With my contractor and sub experience, I have worked through most of the CSI divisions of work, quantifying cost, scope of work and safe work practices to achieve contract success. Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
